Tacha is the hand-tooling tradition that textured the forts and havelis of Rajasthan, and it produces something a machine cannot: a surface that is regular enough to read as intentional and irregular enough to read as human. Look closely at a tacha wall and you can see where the craftsman's rhythm changed. That is the product, not a defect in it.
